With 25 combined years of real estate sales experience, they work actively with both buyers and sellers in the capital region with a significant portion of their business centered in their home town of Potomac. They are proud to be affiliated with Washington Fine Properties, the premier residential real estate firm in the nation’s capital. Its offerings of fine properties in all price ranges, coupled with the most seasoned real estate professionals in the D.C., Maryland and Northern Virginia markets, combine to offer purchasers and sellers unparalleled real estate services.

Team Philosophy

The Meg and Alison Team measures its success by the satisfaction of its clients.

“We are a service-oriented team with the goal of providing our buyers and sellers the most successful sales experience possible, as evidenced by our client testimonials on Zillow. We go above and beyond to provide every service our clients require and treat everyone like family,” team leader Meg Percesepe says.

With a background in law and years of experience in real estate, Meg has developed a keen sense for the market as well as the insider strategies necessary to achieve a successful transaction. Known for her integrity and professionalism in real estate, Meg works to ensure that her clients succeed in achieving all of their goals in both buying and selling properties.

Whatever the needs of her clients, Meg customizes her service as each situation warrants. A certified home-staging specialist, she is uniquely qualified to give advice on preparing a home for today’s competitive real estate market. In addition, Meg has successfully guided transactions that required creativity and extensive research in order to accomplish her clients’ goals. She joined Washington Fine Properties in 2007. As Meg’s business continued to expand, she recruited Alison Shutt in 2008 to assure the same level of exemplary service for her valued clients.

Before turning her sights to a career in real estate, Alison was a vice president in private banking with a commercial bank in Washington, DC., which has translated well to assisting clients with their real estate needs, particularly in the higher-end market. Alison and Meg work together to provide their clients with the highest level of personalized service. They work as a team with clients to keep them informed and involved in the real estate process, with respect for the financial import of the purchase or sale of a home. Their knowledge of the local markets and the home buying and selling process translates into valuable expertise, benefiting both buyers and sellers.

Wiley Drake joined the Meg and Alison Team in 2018. She has worked in public relations and marketing, where she enjoyed working with a variety of high-profile clients. More recently, while working at the National Association of Homebuilders, she developed a love for all things real estate-related. In a transition to the more relationship-driven world of residential real estate, Wiley is thrilled to be part of the Meg and Alison Team, offering client and business support for their growing real estate practice.

Why They Love Real Estate

“We are keenly aware that housing transitions can be times of great stress,” Meg says. “We believe that we have the empathy and skills required to shepherd people successfully during this period. We are drawn to working with people on a transaction of both financial and personal significance in their lives and leaving them feeling good on both counts.”

What should people look for in a real estate agent as a seller and as a buyer?

“Someone who has a sterling reputation as a successful and trustworthy professional and who is well regarded by their own clients as well as by their peers in the industry,” Meg says. “Seller’s agents should be keenly knowledgeable in the subject marketplace as the housing stock. The agent should understand the building details and potential buyer pools and be successfully networked in the real estate community. Buyer’s agents should know the housing stock and marketplace dynamics—whether multiple offers, negotiations, home inspections, EMDs, etc. The buyer’s agent should be pleasant and responsive and make the home search fun! It is essential that they have expert knowledge of contracts.”
